Quite the Day

I'm glad to have you all today.

About 2000 years ago give or take, a man was executed with two others, nailed to a couple of planks and posted on a massive hill. At about three in the afternoon -- when I've begun to write this, though it was likely much earlier in the original region -- was when he died, and I believe he had stayed that way until at most the coming Sunday morning.

He hadn't done anything wrong, but those who were in power at the time (well, under the Roman empire/government) didn't like him, and wanted him dead.

It's especially in a time like this that many of us around the world take a moment to think back on everything that has led us to today. There's so much good... and bad... we've done in our lives. There's not a single one of us who's perfect.

And yet, we get to continue to live.

At least for what I believe, the bad that we've done in our lives will always leave a stain on us down here... but a day like this and what happens after that works like OxiClean. We now have someone as a means of figuring out what's up with us, and doing something about it.

And I mean doing something about it.

I know that, even still, I'm a little too used to the tomorrows I've been getting that were never guaranteed, and still make rash decisions against my benefit. But I can still learn. I can still do something about the person that I am, and how little I like that person even now.

I have no way of truly knowing if you share the beliefs I do about what might happen after all of this settles, and that's okay!

I just hope you get to take a moment and look at it beyond the average person.

I hope your week has been worth hundreds.
