New Year, New Half of the Same Road

Welcome one and all! It's a pleasure to see you all again!

...What do you mean "you're late again?" You all are just too early, tell ya what. Show up on Saturday or something!

All seriousness though, it's great to have you all here. I don't know how many of you are actually doing much or know me regularly, but being able to know someone is reading everything I write is

... Actually that's rather worrisome honestly. Every typo, hot take, and mistake, in the public eye...

But nevermind that. It's a new week, and it's a wonder to be able to see it! Nothing promises tomorrow, after all.

A few of you might have noticed a small change in the funny little checklist on the main site. Something about redefining the whole site... and yeah! I'm gonna do that!

It might take a little visit to the Inspector (try ctrl + shift + I) to notice that most of the code here is... awfully redundant. The fact that there's so many consistent parts that have to be plugged into all the site's pages can lead to errors like a missing nav, or CSS style, or worse...

So, as well as considering I do want to talk to you all, I've been making plans and getting pieces together for a Second Version of the Checkpoint. You won't see much, if any, of the site at this time, but it will hopefully make parts of the site like the Canvas and Jukebox more content-packed, and unify the Site as a whole.

Oh, and fun fact?

This site is becoming part of Kleidomain canon more than it was. You'll finally know just where the Checkpoint is.

I'm kinda excited to see what happens, but worried because I'm about to go right back into academics next week. Will we see Version Two before the next Oseven Eleven? Who knows!
