Games are cool!

...Okay, I get this might have released later in the day. But so did the last one, no? It's not exactly easy for me to write, so it'll end up taking that long. Wouldn't be writing them on-day otherwise, would I? Hopefully logs are available in a shorter time in future weeks!
Anywho...
Those of you that know me already know that I like my silly little video games. I might be a little on the bland side in terms of taste..? But I still like games, no? And I especially like silly little characters in those games. I would play Gimmick! if it were made available to me
Anywho, games. With the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World releasing a month ago and Donkey Kong Bananza just yesterday, the Nintendo side of gaming seems to be on the up right now! I don't think it's in the budget at home to get any of that, but it looks awfully fun from the videos I've seen. And there's so many little easter eggs and secrets to look for, too...
One thing I like about the new entries is simply the design of everything. It's playful, fun, a little on the simplistic side even though it has so much detail. Characters have animation to them! The cars tumble! The ground crumbles! And the sound design, especially?? Name one person who's complained about the hundreds of pieces in the MKW soundtrack. They just keep outdoing themselves somehow.
...When I eventually create my games, for a greater audience to look at them, I want to share the kind of joy I receive from these games. I want there to be nice colors and music you can move around to and gameplay that doesn't throw you out a window for you. Only thing? It's hard to do that, especially on your own. And I'm not exactly good with planning or asking for help. I wanna do something on my own!
...Oh, that's. That's pride.
...which means at some point, I'll have to start asking anyways. Which makes sense-- sometimes having someone else on board is just more efficient, too!
Maybe I can start with Haphla, then? Well, maybe after work is done today or tomorrow. I still have a lot this week. But perchance?
